Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is a fashion actor and model hailing American actor. Shooting to fame for his role as a character in Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films, including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. Apart from his appearances as a character in the film, Qualls has been featured in more than 22 television series such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order as well as other. A survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma that he was diagnosed at age 14 Qualls is an avid fighter. After two years of treatment his cancer went into remission. Treatment at a young age had an adverse effect on his body. It hampered his development. Because he was a child of poor circumstances, he was determined to be financially secure. He stated, "I've been living so in a state of financial sanity for so long and I'm desperate for money security or else the world will feel out-of-control for me." He looks back on his childhood, and has the desire to act against bullying. His experience of being a victim breaks his heart. The perfect DJ role is that of a real-life father. He would like to have a child of his own in the future, when he could be able to devote much less time and energy to his profession and more to his child.
